The primary 'argument' of all the confederate states combined a defense of slavery and its proliferation with the conviction the black race was created inferior.
But yes there were lesser arguments. Which ones do you see as crossovers?
What percentage of California’s population is white? Saw a broadcast of a Raiders game last year, I don’t think that I saw a white face in the crowd.

There was a president elected (Lincoln) that the south did not want.
They thought their economies could sustain them if they decided to “go it alone”.
They believed they could nullify federal law within their own state lines or borders.
They wanted to withhold money from the federal government..

As for my asking about the white population of California, illegal aliens have made the white population numbers drop to that of almost a minority segment of the population.

so the people who grow the food in this country would be rural americans? and the urbans would of course be amassed in concentrated urban areas? hmmm. you know where that's going.
