Can anyone out there recommend a good C++ book for a beginner? I have a grasp on some Java, Visual Basic and QBasic... I just signed up for a class at my college and my instructor doesn't use a particular book. He has a list of suggested books on his website but, all the reviews I have read on them say, "...not for beginners...". Maybe something with good examples, practice problems, etc. Thanks
