I just want to be sure that I don't offend any members in here in the future. And by that I mean...
Yesterday I was accused of being a racist because I was using a very well known and popular photo as my avatar pic. A certain individual in here who has John Lennon for his avatar pic, called me a cunt, and many other names in the thread. And as always, the obligatory dog-pile on Sam Fisher began. Even though, I quantified the use of Al Jolson's photo by posting the many good things he did for the black community. That information fell on deaf ears as the insults, put-downs, and vulgar name calling continued against me. And, I don't even have any interaction with the guy who uses the John Lennon avatar. Yet he still slithers in and out occasionally into a thread or post of mine to perform his "hit and run".
There is also a member in here who has a political ad as his signature. It's a message about stopping the Death Penalty. Kind of amazing that his Sig pic draws no objections, but as soon as I make a thread concerning my beliefs in stopping Abortions, let the flaming begin. I can only imagine the hysteria from the left if I used an anti-abortion advertisement as a Sig for my posts.
So, concerning racism, who really is the racist? Me, because I use a photo from 90 years ago about a man who did great things for the black entertainers of the day? Or, is a racist someone who is in favor of abortions... especially black abortions. Think about that.
