It appears that falhell receives his news via moth-old newspapers. :dunno:

Or perhaps Smokin' Joe's passing just occurred in his universe. It's completely possible he's on another goddamn planet.

Three lullabies in an ancient tongue
The 1950s was the golden age of boxing. It remained a significant part of American sports culture well into the 60s and 70s. However now, because of greed from assholes like Bob Arum and others if his ilk, it's a third-rate "sport" that nobody can watch unless they want to pony up for megabucks on pay-per-view. I truly appreciate your tribute to Smokin' Joe but your lifelong "passion" for a sport that has been irrelevant for over 30 years coming from a 21 year old kid is baffling to say the least. What is is about present-day boxing that drives your passion? :dunno:

No, I was aware of his death. I watched some of the coverage on ESPN the day that he passed away. I am a big boxing fan so I knew that his death occurred over a month ago.

I'm a fan of boxing. I enjoy watching the old fights from the golden age of boxing as well as the new fights from today. I enjoy all of it.
