My wife and I have been looking @ some houses the past few weeks and there was one that stoud out for us. It's not the biggest house but there's a lot of room for improvement so we can add value to it. It's a 3 bedroom house with a nice big garden that gets sun almost the entire day and it has a brick shed with room for our bikes and everything else. The price is also very reasonable @ 130.000 euro's wich makes it possible for us to get a mortgage based on one income. A lot of first time buyers make the mistake to get a mortgage based on two incomes but if anything ever happens to one of them they're screwed. We'd rather take some extra time to climb the ladder than take that kind of risk. We signed all the paperwork on thursday and we move in 5 weeks from now. We've both planned a week off from work to do some painting and our **** are going to lay a wooden floor and retile the bathroom. It's very exciting to be home owners and actually put our money to good use instead of throwing it into the bottomless pit called renting
