Bob Elliott of Bob and Ray has died.

He was 92. I used to love listening to Bob and Ray. Their understated wit was in direct contrast with the caustic, cynical comedy popular in their time. Plus, he was Chris Elliott's father and he must have done something right because that guy is a Goddamn American treasure.

I loved Bob and Ray as a kid and young adult. Let's see a show of hands. How many members here even know who Bob & Ray were much recall ever have seen them perform on TV? Not many is my guess.

You're right. Never did, but having just gone and watched a few clips, I am reminded very much of the heyday of SNL ... when it was actually clever and funny :hatsoff:
