Blue trash cans

I found out blue recycle cans can be delivered so I can have 8 of them. I had a problem with parking in front where I put out trash every week. Drivers were moving trash cans and not being considerate with letting me get my trash emptied. You need 1 feet between cans and 3 ft from all cars for black(trash) cans, blue recycle cans and green lawn clippings can,

I would put out 2 or 3 weekly- what a pain with shitty neighbor attitudes.

My solution was to say ok- park in front of my house all you want even on trash day.
Mind you I have no control over street parking.

I put all trash and recycle in blue bins and let the sanitation dept. separate it. It creates a parking place for the neighbors.
I no longer worry about it.

I now put like 10 cans on street every 5 months when I can get them there. solution works for me

sanitation never catches on with my dirty deed as I go along time b etween trash days.

no leaving cans on street all week and city nailing you for that.
When I did that they reported me so they could get there parking space back.
the same houses that reported me left trash cans out all week themselves.
It seem you can report a house and they only write up the house reported and not nearby houses with cans out illegally.

I reported every house on my block over a 6 month period multiple times. That fixed there trash shittiness
I would need to re-report some stubborn souls. I used to hate people who left cans out all week to save a space for parking and then also parked a car in front of a neighbors house.
IT was like saying do not park your car in front of my house but I will park a car in front of your house.

now life is so simple. I do have cans in my front yard but completely legal.- nothing they can do about it
One house used to have 20 cars for it. The 2 bedroom 800 sq ft house grew to 7 bedrooms and 6 bath house for room renters. completely legal.

I would enter with my car in your front yard and 0 fooqs given lol, don';t be rude man help the poor people have a spot

I am currently helping with a parking spot and letting sanitation separate my trash at tax payer expense. I can and will have any one towed who parks on my private property tho.

my yard guy went crazy and put in all my blue ones instead of 2 and overfilled them. I dumped some on street and drivers noticed and did not empty all my blue contaminated ones.
my aunt was visiting and fixed it and went crazy as she is a reccycle FREAK. I only recommend small amts of grass and on last one picked up by that truck.

I understand recycle is partly by hand and magnets for metal.

I figure if city allows the parking probs with mansions being built in in appropriate areas the sanitation sub contractor can sep my garbage.

Mayor sam yorty once ran on a platform of not wanting house wives to have to separate tin cans from garbage.

Where I live in Texas there is no recycling whatsoever. No aluminum, no glass, no cardboard, no paper....no nothing. Texas is likely the least-recycling state in the union....just another thing to be proud of here in the Lone Star State!

does anyone else have peculiar trash day picadillos

My first thought was to run out to my closest restaurante Cubano and get me some picadillo! Yum!!

you have it so good
I liked the days when you could buy a dozen trash cans and have them on hand for the times you could go do a lot of yard work and could work all weekend and throw the stuff away.
nowadays you have to throw ayay just so much unless you want to pay 8 bucks each week for an extra container.
the city issued cans need to be on street and if a neighbors cars is their it blocks your access

its easier and better for trash men to come and empty as its all mechanical.

do your cans need to be on street for pickup or just off street?
