True. There are some BW that aren't exactly BBW!
This is why I differentiate between Full Figured Women (FFW) and Big Beautiful Women (BBW).
I consider a FFW to be a woman who is wider or an extra 2-4" on their dimensions for their height.
I consider a BBW to be a FFW where the woman clearly has an excess of 1" on her stomach and is sporting overhang. That's an almost universally agreed characteristic of unhealthy size and weight.
FFWs that do not have such extra weight, but pack their weight into bust, hips and elsewhere, are not BBWs. However, "FFW" gets overused as any woman who is not boney, many of which are not FFWs either.
There are also different, female shapes. I authored much of this (and another) section in the
Female Body Shape on Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Female_body_shape#Female_shapes
With weight gain, the weight is distributed heavily based on the female shape. Bust for apple, bust and hips for hourglass, hips for pear/spoon and all over for straight. At some point the body can't distribute the added weight and it goes into the stomach.
I
rarely like BBWs because they are
rarely hourglass women and don't take on weight into both their bust and hips. I really want to see hips and breasts wider and fuller than their stomach, although if a woman does, I don't mind the stomach in proportion. I want proportion, and I don't get it often in a BBW.
not all big girls are bbws, i just dont like that term. how you gonna call them all 'beautiful'
i think that term exists so that big girls who aren't pretty can say they're a BBW and feel better about themselves...anyway, that term annoys me too, i know some bigger girls who are very pretty, but BBW really doesn't work for all of 'em...seems like a lot of the ones who claim that tag are more often than not the ones who it doesn't work for...ah well, such is life :dunno:
It depends on
what one define's "beauty" as.
There are women with beautiful faces on a FFW or BBW body. In fact, I regularly chuckle when people talk about "beautiful" actresses that clearly have a little "pudge" to their faces, but they have a problem with the same look -- above the neck -- if the woman is a FFW or BBW.
There is also the fact that some guys love spoon/pear-shaped women, and can't get enough of super-wide hips, regardless of stomach (and small chest). That is a beautiful body to them. Frankly I can't stand it (even worse a platinum blondie look with it), but that's their thing.
However, I am all over a BBW that is a hourglass and proportional. Not only that, they will even top my "best" in a FFW form, just something about the total package.
I mean, if you ask me who my "ideal" women are, they are FFW bodies like Karina Hart and Chloe Vevrier -- wide 40-28-40" dimensions that are very, very slender in the stomach, not BBWs at all.
But if you give me a BBW like Maria Moore and Laura Orsolya, I'm in heaven. You're not going to convince me otherwise. I think Maria has a fun-loving look, just love her nose, totally lust for her above-the-neck as much as the body below it. Laura is one of the few women I really go for with a strawberry-blondie look, and the body to match, especially since she is a tall mammazon (although tall enough that she she only a border-line FFW at her most slender, early work). I also like BBW hourglass Samantha Anderson too, although I'm not totally enraptured with the blondie look.
So even I'm "mis-represented" when I say I love FFWs and some BBWs. I don't go for the 80% of women who are straight or spoon/pear shaped. But when I get that wide, hourglass or stocky, top-heavy apple, in a FFW or rare BBW form, I love it. That right there is just a percentage of the remaining 20% -- I'd say around 10% in wide form and beauty, so maybe only 2% of women are "candidates" for my type of FFW (and even far less of those as BBW).
If you want to call such when "BW" (big women) in general, instead of "BBW," that's fine. But just don't label any woman who isn't anorexic as "BW."
