I remember when I was a young teen and for whatever reason, I asked my papa, a war veteran and MD who he thought was the best potus in his lifetime... he paused, took a few puffs off of his cigar and said, "Ford".
''Ford'', I said, ''what did he do that was so special?''

For the longest time I just brushed off dad's reply as being nothing more than a product of his cynical nature, however, the older I get, the less cynicism there seems to be in dad's reply.

Reagan had Alzheimers dude. His wife helped make the decisions. Seriously he had early stages of dementia before he left the white house. Too funny, our government was lead by a guy with not all of his faculties there.
That duoche bag helped carter sell our country to china and other foreign countries.
Actually Ford was a kind soul he had alot of regard for human life.

I'm going to go with Bush 1. Reagan had some great people running things for him, but Bush 1 was pretty good, he jsut had the bad luck of a recession happening right during his re-election campaign. Honorable mention to Kennedy, he was a conservative Dem with balls... you don't see them around anymore.
None of them untill they scrap the collage vote and capital hill allocates funds of same amount to every candidate we will only ever have brought and paid for presidents.
