Comerica is a beautiful ballpark, but it's just too clean. I miss Tiger Stadium, it just felt right. Gritty and blue collar. The short porch in right. Of course it also has something to with the fact that it was the ballpark of my youth. I've been to both parks in Chi-Town and Wrigley is by far and away the better experience.

The old Tiger Stadium was legendary. I loved Cecil back then and seeing him BOMB the shit out of that short park. Miss it.

Wrigley is one of the few I've actually been to. I've got a BUNCH of family from Illinois so I've been there MANY times. Our yearly vacation was always to Illinois. But I was way small when I was at Wrigley. Chris Sabo, Ryne Sandberg and Mark Grace were on that team if I remember correctly. It was great. Was down by the dugout and Sabo tossed me an autographed ball. I loved him ever since and always collected his cards.

Ace Bandage

The one and only.
There is one correct answer. I think you know what it is.

Ace Bandage

The one and only.
Yep... without a doubt.

Fenway Park

You were probably a Red Sox fan in 2004 when they won the World Series. Then you probably switched your allegiance in 2006...

Nah, give him some credit. He was a Yankee fan until game seven of the ALCS.

I went with Fenway myself, but it is barely above Wrigley. It's the wall that does it for me - though the ivy covered walls in Chicago are also a permanent part of baseball lore.
If I were to go old school, The Polo Grounds would be one favorite. That deep horse-shoe center field areas where Mays could catch almost anything is legendary. Yankee Stadium and Ebbitts Field also get nods.
As for the new stadiums, three stick out to me. Minute Maid Field not only has its own short and tall left field fence, but the bump in center is a rather unique feature that makes it stick out.
I love Camden Yards for a couple of reasons. One is the factory just beyond right (The night Ripken passed Gehrig will make that forever live in history). The other was that it was one of the first of the new ballparks that finally got away from the cookie-cutter crap that haunted the game for a couple of decades (boring stadiums such as Busch and Three Rivers simply were not memorable).
Finally, and it is partially because it is my team's, but Great American Ballpark is a nice one. For one this...what an awesome name. Granted, it is a corporate name...but it works. And the riverboat stacks in the right-center field area work quite nicely. Besides, I did not like Riverfront Stadium, with it's cookie cutter design and fake grass. Boring.

ESPN Magazine calls Target Field the best stadium in North America

http://blogs.citypages.com/blotter/2010/07/espn_calls_trag.php

We know the food's great. We know it's growing a soul. It's a hit with wildlife. And now we know that the Twins' fancy new Target Field is the best stadium in the country -- not just for baseball, or football, or basketball, or tiddlywinks, but any stadium in any sport -- at least according to ESPN: The Magazine. The Wild's home ice at the Xcel Energy Center came in at No. 3.
Their Top 10 teams ranked by Stadium Experience:

1. Minnesota Twins
2. Green Bay Packers
3. Minnesota Wild
4. Seattle Mariners
5. Philadelphia Phillies
6. Milwaukee Brewers
7. San Francisco Giants
8. Indianapolis Colts
9. Pittsburgh Pirates
10. St. Louis Cardinals

Besides stadium experience, teams were also ranked based on:

Bang For The Buck (BNG): Wins during the past three years (regular season plus postseason) per revenues directly from fans, adjusted for league schedules.
Fan Relations (FRL): Openness and consideration toward fans by players, coaches and management.
Ownership (OWN): Honesty and loyalty to core players and local community.
Affordability (AFF): Price of tickets, parking and concessions.
Players (PLA): Effort on the field and likability off it.
Coaching (CCH): Strength of on-field leadership.
Title Track (TTR): Championships already won or expected in the lifetime of current fans.

I'm partial, 'cause, well, one of my best friends was a brick layer making that park (I almost worked on it), but it's out and out flawless, and it's my home park. There are just too many goodies about it to get into here, but if you ever make it to these parts, check it out. It will knock you da phuck out. (the X thing I just highlighted for shits and giggles, since I was born, raised and reside within a couple miles from it, so it IS my rink).

Y'all can hate all day on MN like ESPN (the channel, not the Mag, apparently) LOVES to do, but ultimately we don't care. Oh yeah, did I mention TCF Stadium has been mentioned as the best stadium in college football recently as well? :thefinger

Everyone got pissed off since I posted that link about the Twins' park being the best on the entire continent, I take it. That's how much love (hate) Minnesota teams actually get. It's totally hilarious. But they can all suck it as far as I'm concerned. Our state (and biggest cities) consistently rate the BEST in the country soooooooo many categories, so I suspect they are all just jealous. Bitches. :dickhead:

Seriously, we ARE the best, and we DO hold our head a bit higher than the rest of the turd of a country America has become. You couldn't pay me to live anywhere else.
