I'm starting with the 1979 film starring George C. Scott titled Hardcore. Amazing film of Calvinist family tragedy that's a bit of an unintentional comedy as well. George C Scott growling his lines with excruciating pain and frustration on his face grimacing while grunting sounds of anguish you don't think are humanly possible was over the top fun. You gotta see him go undercover wearing a tie dye shirt along with fake wig and mustache also hipping up his lingo to be relatable to the young people. Peter Boyle co-stars as the knucklehead hired Private Investigator.

A great George C Scott double feature would be Hardcore and Exorcist III. Don't forget the liquor...

"Boogie Nights." With an in-her-prime Heather Graham wearing short-shorts and roller skates. AND, a porn star!! Nina Hartley plays a nympho wife of a member of the crew (WIlliam Macy).

Hardcore is an excellent film, saw that a couple of years ago. The People vs Larry Flynt is fantastic as well, although more a biopic. Boogie Nights is really good as well, obviously.

Nina Hartley's part in the film with William Macy as her husband was great.

I also liked Don Cheadle as a Country Music loving stereo salesman.

Burt Reynolds did a fine job in one of his last films also.

They based Boogie Nights on the Wonderland Murders that concerned John Holmes.
