I voted for N64, but as soon as I pressed that button I realized I should have chose SNES.

PS2 was the most inovative - first to allow you to play DVD's and old (PS1) games, I believe. I also don't think the PS3 is that much improved. As far as the XBox and N64, the controllers were just too damn "alienesc" for my liking. Just never really got into 'em.

SNES was also awesome. Did anyone ever play the game Harvest Moon? Ahhh... loved that game.

You played Harvest Moon?

:lovecoupl

I love that game, though I hated the part at the beginning where you had to talk to everyone in town. I think I got past that part once.

Yeah, the Xbox controllers were like something out of a James Cameron film.

As for Harvest Moon, I had it for the SNES, but my best SNES games were Mario 3 and Mario Kart. Also Donkey Kong Country and the Early Final Fantasys.

Donkey Kong Country was also awesome. Harvest Moon got a bit tedious at times... and I wish they would have at least released a mature version so you could see the baby making! LOL

My vote goes to N64!

Personally,I couldn't stand N64 for one reason,the controller.It was an abomination.

Even though I'm a Sony guy,I would have to say that no other console has made a bigger impact on the gaming world than the NES.Sure you had to clean out the cartridges with alcohol after a while, and had to constantly blow on the contacts just to get a game to work, but at the end of the day,it all come down to one thing.Games, and the NES had a slew of them.

I can remember the frenzy of Christmas of,I think it was either 86 or 87.You couldn't get a NES to save your life, and they continued to be completely sold out for months to come.

So while I loath Nintendo now,I have to give props where props are due.The original NES get's my vote.

I played Harvest Moon 64 once and I spent five years looking for it before finally getting my own copy. By far the best HM game. No baby making, though. Not yet, anyway.

Yeah, I'm glad they did away with cartridges around Gamecube time. I have two games on my N64 that don't work. What's a good method to clean them?

I couldn't have said it better myself.
Majora's Mask (The Zelda sequel) was also an amazing game. First analogue controllers, rumble packs, no loading times, etc.

I forgot all about the rumble pack! I was so excited when that first came out! That's it... I am breaking out my N64 now!

I still have an SNES and a Genesis. The SNES is one of the best of all time as was the Genesis. I also have an N64 sitting in a box from a friend for some cash he owed, but I never hooked it up.

OP: If you search Best Game systems (or something like that) on Google you will probably find dozens of pages that list their tops of all time. I think I read one a while back that listed the original NES as the greatest of all time.
