Belladonna Says that 99.9% of Porn Stars have HERPES

Belladonna

"I found the perfect man to share this experience with. I told this man that I wanted to have sex with him and that I would pay for him to get tested so that we could enjoy ourselves knowing that we were safe. I had been around this guy in the past and Herpes was brought up, but it was never a straight forward question, so my answer was that 99.9% of the porn industry has Herpes. I thought by saying that it was pretty clear, but I should never have assumed. I got the test results back from Aim Healthcare and his test was negative for everything, so we set a time and a place for our rendezvous and I went on about my merry way."

"600 films and about 3000 women later - Rocco is the biggest porn star ever from Europe and today's leading stud. "No other male can fuck as hard, as fast and as long as Rocco, and with as much passion and conviction." (AFW) "Let me tell you a secret: in this business everybody has herpes, myself included. Every professional in the porn-world has herpes, male or female. It's the smallest thing you can get, it's really nothing serious." "

Is this fucking true?! My hand is on my hard drive right now ready to delete most flicks of girls that looked fine ... ecxcept that they also looked like they were fucking with a "small red sore"

That is a scary thought.

On the contrary, it is a big deal. The mere fact it's growing more common does not minimize that. Shrugging it off as no big deal is one reason 1 in 4 sexually active americans has it.

It's 100% true. Herpes is no big deal. 1 in 4 sexually active Americans has it.

To restate brodie54 I feel it IS A DEAL! Sure its not HIV/AIDS or anything ... but that shit is incurable an it's still and STD nonetheless!

Imagine that Roxy Reynolds, Gianna Michaels, Aurora Jolie, Vicky Vette, 9 (Insert pornstar names here) etc... already probably has that shit. Herpes FYI can still get through rubber and infect. Who knows maybe Priya Rai is NEXT for that shit - That or she already has a STD by now after fucking around for Voodoo House.

Knew this ages ago and it hasn't put me off. I'm not having sex with these people, so why should I be worried? If a girl has visible sores in a video, I wouldn't even be watching it.

Herpes is a big deal. Who wants to get it?

It's incurable and can still infect others even through condoms. You're correct. So, why wear condoms?

This isn't news to me, but it's still disturbing and disgusting.

wow, never thought it would be so high and definitely surprised by how "insignificant" they make it seem!

herpes stats:http://www.herpesclinic.com/genitalherpes/genitalherpesstatistics.htm
HPV(warts) is also extremely common and incurable.
stats:http://www.albion.edu/senate/hpv_stats.htm
i don't know how common in porn, but i'm guessing it's as common as it is for us "regular" people.

All STD's are a big deal, common or not, they're something you have to live with for the rest of your life. They are also something that every sexually active person needs to think about and be prepared for. condoms are NOT 100%.
you can shrug off herpes saying its just a rash/itchy/open sore(in essence just a viral skin condition) but it's a terrible sensation that you'll be dealing with for the rest of your days, or until there's a cure, which'll be when?? i know there's treatment, but it's still there.
also warts, which cause no real discomfort and are really just a blemish. but it's always there, even if you're treated, you can always have another outbreak. the real trouble with warts is that a few of the strands can cause cervical cancer, so it IS a big deal for women.

and what about when you're with a new partner. before you take the next step the right thingto do is inform them of your condition, simply because condoms aren't 100%. they should know that they are now more at risk of contracting an std. hopefully they are open minded and a bit more knowledgable. getting one isn't the end of the world, but it does change things.

STD's, every kind are a big deal. and even if you're the most responsible, careful person in the world, you're still at risk.

BTW, whats with wanting to delete stuff because they might have herpes. so do a lot of the girls you want to date! better lock yourself inside, the world isn't perfect.

I'm surprised most people didn't realize this either. If that statistic is an exaggeration it isn't by much. If somebody works only a few months and does a normal amount of work during that time it would be almost shocking if they didn't contract something. Remember there is only so many people out there and they keep working with each other. Having a handful of men that screw every new person makes it that much more likely.

i just thought the testing would drastically limit such a thing. i realize it would not be fool-proof, but never thought it would be so high.

For the record:

From the Mayo Clinic website:

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/genital-herpes/DS00179/DSECTION=1

'Genital herpes is a highly contagious sexually transmitted disease. Features of genital herpes include pain, itching and sores in your genital area.

The cause of genital herpes is a strain of herpes simplex virus (HSV), which enters your body through small breaks in your skin or mucous membranes. Sexual contact is the primary way that the virus spreads.

Genital herpes is common, affecting both men and women. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the herpes simplex virus is present in as many as one in six teens and adults in the United States.

There's no cure for this recurrent infection, which may cause embarrassment and emotional distress. Having genital herpes is no reason to avoid sex or give up on relationships though. If you or your partner is infected, you can manage the spread of HSV by taking steps to protect yourself and your partner.'

And this from the same site:
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/genital-herpes/DS00179/DSECTION=5

'Complications
In healthy adults, genital herpes generally doesn't cause other serious permanent complications besides the sores. These other complications may occur:

Contraction of other STDs. Having genital herpes can increase your risk of transmitting or contracting other sexually transmitted diseases, including the AIDS virus.
Newborn infection. A mother with open sores can spread the infection to her newborn as the infant passes through the birth canal. Genital herpes may result in brain damage, blindness or death for the newborn. Mothers experiencing their first outbreak of herpes at the time of delivery are the most likely to transmit the infection to their babies.'

When I was in basic training for the Army this guy in our platoon got this really bad cold sore on his lip.

In a weird coincidence a guy he roomed with had the same kind of sore a couple days later.

I didn't make this one up.
