Baby born without cancer gene

A baby has been born from an embryo screened for cancer genes in Britain for the first time. University College London (UCL) said both ****** and baby were doing "very well" but did not provide exact details of the birth.

The unnamed baby girl was screened to ensure she did not contain the BRCA 1 gene that would have given her up to an 85 per cent chance of developing breast cancer.
