I am not very good with computers, I was wondering if anyone here saves avi/mpeg/mpg files on cd's? if so, how do you do it? can any cd-burning program do it? like I said, my knowledge of computers is very limited... and I have limited space on my hard drive so I need to start saving on cd's. Thanks.

I use a program called Nero to burn my cd's.

well, I use easy cd creator for my music and there's a vcd program that comes with it as well. I've tried before to make a vcd of some videos I have but it didn't work for whatever reason, I think I'm doing something wrong. BTW, does it only do mpeg files? can you burn avi files on the cd as well? thanks again!
The VCD program that comes with Easy CD requires mpeg 2 format videos in order to work. So you'll need a video converting program, like the Ulead VideoStudio mpeg encoders. Most mpeg files are mpeg 1, so you have to encode them in mpeg 2 to burn to CD with Easy CD. Mpeg 2 is higher quality and looks better on VCDs. There are other programs, like Nero, which can also burn files, and it comes with its own VCD program which allows you to burn regular mpegs and avi files without encoding them, but the quality when viewed on a DVD is pretty poor.
