Any sitcoms you are currently watching?

I'm totally hooked on "The Good Place"

It's a "smart" comedy, weaving in university level ethics/philosophy into some hilarious writing. Best written current sitcom for sure.

And if that wasn't enough, D'Arcy Carden should get you interested. She was dressed up as a hooters waitress, and this week she totally destroyed everyone in a barfight.

Dexter season 3.
I'm laughing. He is in a situation.
He will make it out alive, noone else will.
But how it happens is the interesting part.
That counts. :)

I guess if you go by antenna TV, I'm also watching:
Barney Miller (I feel like the comedy gets in the way of the drama. The cast is great, the situations are.. eh. But the resolution and banter is spifftastic.)
THREE'S MOTHERFUCKING COMPANY! (Actually I hate the show, it isnt very clever... but Ritter's physical timing is insane, Chrissy gets my attention, BUT OHMYFUCKINGGAAWD JAAANNNETTTT... )
Jack Benny Program (Perfection. To me.)
George and Gracie (Flawless delivery with the cleverstupidliteralsarcasm, Gracie.)

Honestly, this reputation system has gotten out of hand since the 'rep posting games' section went kaput.
"YOU HAVE TO SPREAD REP AROUND BEFORE GIVING IT TO DINO, AGAIN!"
..... *seth MacFarlane exasperated voice* TO WHO?!
Freeones/Dad: ... fair enough.

Can you believe the 4 fucking day Growing Pains marathon last week? I saw the commercial that on Thanksgiving they would have the marathon but I thought it was just for the day, not 4 fucking days. On day 3 I got home, turned on the TV and it was still on. I detonated man, instant bi-polar episode. I damn near put 8 .40cal rounds through the TV set. Luckily I calmed down after some whiskey and a few bong swats. I think I even took a Xanax that day because I was so furious but I can't remember.

Sitcoms? Hmm... I watch the Andy Griffith Show a couple of times a week. Whenever it's an episode with Ernest T. Bass, I'm there. My girlfriend likes Big Bang Theory. I can see the humor, but I don't particularly care for it. Seems like it rehashes the same themes over and over and over again. It's funnier than most of the tired crap that's on TV these days, but not really my cup of tea.

I'd MUCH rather watch reruns or recordings of All in the Family, The Jeffersons, Sanford and Son, WKRP in Cincinnati (the Thanksgiving episode is an all time classic), The Mary Tyler Moor Show (Chuckles the Clown funeral), ALF, The Cosby Show or News Radio than most any of the newer PC formula shows.

Where is The Bob Newhart Show on that list, sir? I still watch Carol Burnett Show (variety show) too.

I love me some Bob Newhart (both of his sitcoms). His brand of deadpan, subtle wit and humor I could relate to. The way he signed off of Newhart by reaching back to The Bob Newhart Show was a classic moment in TV history. But I'm not aware of a network or channel that shows either Newhart show. There are a lot of classic channels popping up that feature old shows though. Hopefully it'll pop up soon.

Yep, also a fan of Carol Burnett (and the great Lucille Ball)... especially when she did scenes with Harvey Korman and Tim Conway. I'd have a long list if we included variety shows too.

Up until a year ago Antenna TV ran it. I always wanted to fuck Mary Frann. But anyway, I liked it up until Larry, Daryll, and Daryll sold the diner to that tall Jew guy. When the Darylls left the show sucked imo.
