Anxiety. What is this bullshit?
No just kidding, well sort of. Part of me feels that way.
Consider this thread somewhat of a rant but perhaps some of you can share your knowledge and feelings.Perhaps it may even turn into a sort of cyber group therapy session, but whom I kidding it will more likely just turn int an argument. Lets hope not.
Anxiety. Am I the only one encountering this term a real lot lately?
Seems everyone I meet has "Anxiety Issues" these days.
Now see, I also have anxiety. I have anxiety over a very real situation in my life.
But today it seems a very very lot of people have anxiety.
Is it just me noticing or experiencing this?
Lets face it the phrase "Everyone has problems" is bullshit.
Some people have it much easier than others in life.
Some of us have had to work for everything they have and have had while others seem to just skate through life not a care in the world while everything just comes easy to them. Easy, cheap, or totally free. Some have lived through tragedy or many tragedies and serious challenges while others never had to lift a finger for anything.
One thing I have noticed about the many people I have met in recent times who claim to be suffering from anxiety is that they've never really had any real responsibility in their lives other than paying for that car they can't afford in the 1st place.
Most have never lived on their own. Never had to pay rent or bills. And have never lived through any real tragedy in their lives. Basically most are single and have never moved out of their parents house. Yet they have anxiety and so bad they need medication for it.
It bothers me. To me these people are like those people who wear War Decorations on their uniforms that they bought on ebay.
There are people out there with major serious problems. Real things. Life and death problems.
Stuff that will cause real actual anxiety.
Yet we have all these people, men and women, walking around saying they suffer from anxiety when most have never even had to pay an electric bill.
Its like an entire generation of completely helpless people.
I mean what's, the deal, with that?
