I'm not sure if you have the resources, BUT, you have a secure base from which to do it. The Moslem nations might theoretically rise up against you, but then again, from what I gather, they're not so fond of Iran.
Personally I think that if we just leave them to their own business, they'll steadily fall behind. Lets not forget that by forbidding women to work they lose approx. 50% of potential productivity. So leaving them be lets us get ahead :dunno:

Some things are just wrong no matter who does them, and some laws are stupid. It's hard to find any decent rational for punishing somebody such as this.
