Biography
Anna Baryshnikov is a promising new talent. Recently, she garnered recognition for her feature film debut in the critically acclaimed Kenneth Lonergan film “Manchester by the Sea,” which was named the year’s “Best Film” by the National Board of Review. Baryshnikov plays Sandy, the sometimes-girlfriend and bandmate of Patrick Chandler, played by Lucas Hedges. The film has received a Golden Globe Award nomination for “Best Motion Picture – Drama,” a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for “Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture,” an Independent Spirit Award nomination for “Best Film” and Critics Choice Award nominations for “Best Picture” and “Best Acting Ensemble.” Also, Baryshnikov appeared in the film “Wiener-Dog,” written and directed by Todd Solondz.
Prior to becoming a series regular on SUPERIOR DONUTS, Baryshnikov guest-starred on several television series, including “Blue Bloods” on the Network, “The Mysteries of Laura,” “Good Girls Revolt” and “Doll & Em.”
On the New York stage, she starred in the 2014 off-off Broadway production of “Horse Girls” at the Cell Performance Salon.

Superior Donuts is a new CBS comedy about a donut shop in Chicago that’s barely surviving. To keep bring in new business, the owner, an older white man named Arthur (Judd Hirsch) hires a young black man named Franco (Jermaine Fowler). Their banter about the problems of the world and how they relate to them are the highlight of the show. As is their banter with customers including college student Maya.
Maya is portrayed by Anna Baryshnikov. The 24-year-old actress (and daughter of world-renowned ballet dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov) is known for her roles in the Amazon series Good Girls Revolt, Blue Bloods (Jenny Strong), and The Mysteries of Laura (Tracy Dunn). Baryshnikov most recently appeared in the Oscar-nominated film Manchester by the Sea (girlfriend Sandy).
