I have strange problem on my PC.
Many animated gifs just do not play, neither in browsers, nor with windows image and fax viewer. ACDSee also can't play them.
I've tried to open them in Opera 9.22, in Internet Explorer (with options->advanced->play animations switched ON) but with no result.
I also tried to save them to hard disk, and though size of the file is often large (about 1 mb or more, they are downloaded completely, I checked for it), image viewers only display static (first) frame.
this pisses me off. I know that there are a lot of issues with video files, different codecs, file types etc. And I know how to solve that problems by installing some codec packs and all that ****.
But I really have no idea, why simple GIF file can't be played without problems?! or are there also some different codecs and players for them? I've never heard about it!
Am I the only one who faces that trouble?
Any advice?
TIA!
