Agreed. That was the great thing about Penthouse 10 or 15 years ago . . . gorgeous women who occasionally got a little more heated up than expected, and the photographer just kept on shooting. That's what made it great . . . it was a rare treat to see something that hot going on. "Subtle hardcore" is a good term for it.
Where Penthouse went wrong was when it started showing peeing, explicit penetration, and so on. It lost that erotic but tasteful vibe it had.
Have you seen the new P-house? Beautiful women, but it comes off like some sort of spiced-up version of Maxim, Stuff, etc. It's almost too clean now. They seem to be going toward the "lifestyle magazine" mode . . . lots of articles about sports, electronics, movies, music, etc.
