America's Worst French Fries

Worst Fries in America
Chili’s Texas Cheese Fries w/Jalapeno Ranch
1,920 calories
147 g fat (63 g saturated)
3,580 mg sodium

The only thing that comes close to redeeming this cheesy mound of lard and grease is the fact that it’s ostensibly meant to be shared with a few friends. Even so, you’ll collectively be taking in an entire day’s worth of calories, three days’ allotment of saturated fat, and a day and a half’s allotment of sodium. What’s even scarier, if you can imagine, is that even if you try to order more sensibly and ask for the “half” order of Texas Cheese Fries, you’ll still receive a disastrous dish that packs in 1,400 calories. There’s one French fries side dish at Chili’s that’s acceptable, although even in its much-reduced form, you’d be better off splitting it.

I have to say I'm a fan of Arby's curly fries more than any others but they are artery cloggers apparently. The cheese fries at Outback Steakhouse rank right up there as well. One order is a meal in itself. the last couple times I was there with my girl we got one order and an order of Bloomin' onion. Very good trash for your body.

The cheese fries at A&W aren't bad either, but it's fake cheese and has to be a heart stopper as well.

The secret ingredient? MY BALLS
I like Mr. Hero's wafer fries. They're nothing special, neither is their cheese sauce, but...SIGH, it's sooooo good.

Ever been to Outback? The bloomin' onion is to die for, and like I said, the cheese fries are killer too. ;) I don't like to fry too much in the house because it gets so damn messy, but I have found recipes for the bloomin onion and they are good. Never like the original, but still the seasoning is good. I prefer to bake fries in the house though to cut down on both the mess and the artery cloggers.

eegee's fries are the best, even without all the stuff that can be made from them.
My niece had their "pizza fries" last night and said they were great.
eegee's may only be a regional chain though.

I don't get all those crazy "_ _ _ _ _ fries" at any place.
I've actually stopped eating that many fries lately.

All that deep fried stuff is poison, period. But every once in a while to indulge is nice.

Never thought I'd see McDonalds food ranked best in anything...

I agree, McDonalds fries are tasty. Although In-N-Out makes great burgers, their french fries don't taste good although they are made fresh

In regards to the OP's post, we don't get fries like that in England. 1920 calories is pretty much 4/5s of the recommended intake for a grown man, over here(!!!) 80 more cals, that's a British woman's daily quota!

I'm kind of thankful for it, but am also very envious. I bet they taste absolutely fuckin' majestic.

Fuck yeah! Whenever I go to Outback with a girl we always split these, and have some of their awesome mix drinks... That stuff is expensive, but oh so tasty! Offers a great buzz, too!

If you've never tried the cheese fries I would highly recommend them. You get dipping sauce with them as well.

I freaking love the dipping sauce for the bloomin' onion. Actually found a recipe for it on the 'net. It's so killer, I dip fries in that stuff, onion rings, burgers. It's also called "zesty" sauce at BK so when I go there and order their shitty onion rings I always get extra packets.

Well, we're a bunch of fat buggars over on this side of the pond. Figures eh, after WWII our indulgences went through the roof after we got rich on that war. :hatsoff: I actually envy your guys's fish and chips recipes over there. You do get authentic fish and chips over there don't you?

We do though get proper chips here though. One fish and chip shop I know has chips to die for. They are of course fried in beef dripping (tallow) and are simply amazing. Why people waste their time cooking them in oil is beyond me.
I had the misfortune to visit a MacD's last week, only ever my second visit and I hope my last. There was a sign sayiny "No artificial flavourings" to which should be added "and no natural ones either"

Red Robin's bottomless fries and the fries from In-n-Out. Fantastic.
