my family traced our ancetory back to like the 1840s....before that it gets kind of hard becuase a ot of my ancestors were slaves and documentation of where they came from wasn't really recorded all that well or at all for that matter......so my family either came from present day nigeria, ghana, ivory coast probably......as a black person i honestly don't care becuae i don't really have that many ties with africa. i look at myself more american then anything else.
