Agreed. See, that happens every time a black person is convicted of something. People have to hid behind the race card. Is it valid in some cases? Yes. But, more often than not, it's just a last resort of despiration.
I'd bet if Lindsay Lohan was black, the same thing would happen. Forget about all the evidence, all the broken laws, violations - NO. It's because of the color of her skin.

If we're going to hand out prison terms for movie performances, Nicholas Cage should be serving consecutive life sentences for everything he's ever done. Christ, what a fuckin' douche!

The weird thing about this case is that Snipes didn't even evade taxes...he wasn't convicted of any felonies. Failing to file is rarely even prosecuted...even with people who actually have money. The IRS just wants the taxes. Snipes though, he and his brilliant legal minds decided to just not pay and, when the IRS caught up with him, their defense was that Snipes wasn't Constitutionally obligated to pay.
As heinous as it is to see somebody sentenced to three years of productive life for a non-violent offense, he's actually pretty lucky that's all he got. He was calling Uncle Sam's bluff. Very stupid movie, Nino! Uncle Sam is his brother's keeper, literally!
