Actor James Best aka Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane Dies at 88

I hate to say this but he is one of the actors I thought was gone already. One of the more disturbing roles I remember him in was Dewey Barksdale in Ode to Billy Joe.

Actor James Best, who played the often confused Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane on “The Dukes of Hazzard,” died on Monday evening after a brief illness and battle with pneumonia, according to his rep. He was 88.

Well, he had a short illness, and so I think it was not too tough for him. He seemed like a really great guy, nice face. Sorry for your loss.

Just remember him from Dukes of Hazards even though I was still in diapers back then...was a big fan of that show as a kid, had the toys and the Dukes of Hazards pj's R.I.P.

Used to love The Dukes Of Hazzard.It was part of my Saturday tea time viewing when i was growing up(or rather attempting to grow up)I realise now, i have failed.
