As some of you may know I recently started a new job @ a shipyard to help with the day to day managing of the company and my employer asked me to seek out a present for one of the carpenters who has been with the company for 15 years. I registered @ a couple of woodworking forums to ask the people there for some suggestions and a lot of people said the NX60 block plane made by a Canadian company called Veritas would be a nice present so I checked it out. According to Veritas it's their "premium block plane" made from an expensive alloy called nickel-resist ductile iron. It's rather expensive for a block plane (249 euro's or 346 dollars) but I think he will like it.
