I just read that apparently it has a typical hollywood ending. How the FUCK can a movie about the end of the world have a happy ending? How is that even possible? If the main character doesn't die, then it's not the end of the world and the very premise of the movie is flawed.

But if you survive it, then it's not the end of the world. They pulled this same shit in The Knowing. Just once I want a movie where everyone dies and the last scene is a lifeless wasteland or what used to be an Earth.

They find out it's panda bears that are causing the end of the world and slaughter them all using an ancient stone left by aliens from mars who had the same thing happen to their planet but they were too late so they sent it to earth so that maybe we would have a chance at survival.

I just saw a commercial for the film, and I think an even better question to ask is why the hell do all of these apoctalyptic movies have black presidents? I mean, Danny Glover is so awesome he probably walked right up to the Mayans and bitch slapped their predictions back to 3014, but he doesn't need to be the President to do that.
