It's pretty safe to say that we are a man dominated board. We have our favorite female members, of course, but the overwhelming feel and attitude here is masculine.
I'm active at a few other boards where there is a more balanced membership. I can tell you without hesitation, that the feeling and attitude there is strange and a bit uncomfortable to my knuckle dragging ways. Not to mention when the other half fires up a "who should she go out with?" thread or anything else that has the TeenBeat/Estrogen element. (I've got no choice but to be there - they get the models pix faster than anyone else...)
Add to that, the fact that "mainstream" boards allow users that we consider to be ********, and you get a bizzare world. (One of these has a moderator barely into her teens WTF? I just shudder at the thought of a teenage moderator banning me
)
I like the backslapping, the ****** honesty, the macho feel, and the commeraderie of a masculine board. We all know what we are here for and there are no apologies for it. I
