In some respects... I will agree with you on many different levels, but...
If you think about it, though, you expend more energy getting mad, then arguing, backing off, then arguing some more, and then staying mad for days on end. (hypothetical... but you get what I'm saying, right?)
Guilty. I know of what I speak. It happens to me... a LOT!
Plus... the more you stay angry, the more it affects your health. Your blood pressure rises, the strain on your heart is increased by multiples, and you divert energy away from your body in order to maintain that level of anger. If you stop and consider the above, those are catalysts for either a stroke or a heart attack.
I'd rather try to work on reducing how quickly my temper flares rather than winding up in an ICU ward for a massive heart attack. It's not worth it.
