Starts off pretty good. Love the cyberpunk mentions.

Finding Nemo 3D, though?

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
I've seen about 19 of them, and I would agree with about 5 of those, being on the list. Several, I've never even heard of, and there are several movies I have seen that I would put on the list.

"what we CAN do, is lump a boatload of professional opinions (Metacritic, Rotten Tomatoes, Brussels World’s Fair Poll, Sight and Sound Poll among a few) together, include audience polls, and see what films fall where. It’s not an exact science, but based on what has developed, I’m at least partially convinced the method holds some validity."

I've seen 48 on your list. Loved seeing Ghost in the Shell and Blade Runner on there. Other ones I would have included. Purple Rose of Cairo, Battle Royale, American Psycho, Fantasia, Do The Right Thing, His Girl Friday, any Hitchcock Film,RoboCop. Just to name a few other classics

List fail. No films by Jack Nicholson. What's up with that? You can certainly put A Few Good Men, or The Shining or The Departed or Prizzi's Honor or One Flew Over... or Chinatown or The Witches of Eastwick before Starship Troopers at # 13. C'mon seriously?

I stopped reading after I saw Starship Troopers on the list.

Ray is correct too. :)

Giant bugs? Neil Patrick Harris must have paid them off to put that on the list. :wallet:

You are obviously a film freak so I rely on your word.

I watch maybe 2 movies per week, I usually wait for the DVD release to watch a movie, and I try to watch only top rated, popular or cult classics, so I don't waste time on crappy movies.
I usually check the IMDB rating and if it's below 6, I usually don't watch it, unless it's sci-fi, mystery, or has a hot chick.

Anyways disregard the list in the first post, and use the IMDB top 250 instead.

Meh. Still seriously underwhelmed.
Interstellar, Spirited Away, Se7en, City of God, Leon The Professional, two Star Wars sequels and two Harry Potter sequels are rated above Casablanca, Psycho, 2001, To Kill A Mockingbird, Lawrence of Arabia, Taxi Driver, The Green Mile and Alien? No way.

At least they had Das Boot in the top 75, a movie which imo should be rated higher but sometimes gets completely overlooked in these kinds of lists.

Most of the votes are from younger people, I'd also prefer to watch star wars than Casablanca, Psycho, To Kill A Mockingbird, Lawrence of Arabia, Taxi Driver, or The Green Mile, because I prefer sci-fi more than dramas.
And the order of the list isn't too important.

The list is null and void. No fuckwit worth his gonads would put 'The Holy Grail' above 'The Life of Brian' when it comes to Monty Python.
