Exactly. Then add the Jewish Passover and Muslim Eid and you have most of the planet eating meat for meals that have religious inspiration. Nevermind the number of animals killed every day which end up in everything from your filet mignon to your bacon butties...

28.6 million people in Nepal. A million people expected to attend the festival and I'm sure a lot of them probably won't be Nepalese citizens.
