Y'all don't have to tell me how strong the SEC is, I know this. I just do not think South Carolina is a great team.

Btw, speaking of the SEC, does anyone else miss the old 2-intradivisional rivalry schedule over the current one with only one? Florida-Auburn and Tennessee-Arkansas were great rivalries, and now they rarely ever play. IMO Florida's rivalry with Auburn was better than the one with LSU. In fact, I'd say after UT and UGa they are (or were) our 3rd biggest conference rival. Part of my disappointment with Florida losing is that we coulda played Auburn for the first time in awhile. UF-AU always play close, exciting games. And how come USC/Arkansas and MSU/UK share rivalries? I think it should be USC/MSU and Arkansas/UK.

I went 16-9 in my picks......

Oh, and my top-10 (the first four I really have no problem putting in any order)

1- Auburn (all the way up from 4 despite the fact that they've played all their big games at home)
2- TCU
3- Oregon
4- Boise State
5- Wisconsin (alot more convincing team than LSU and had to play MSU, which Ohio St didn't, and oh btw beat Ohio St)
6- Ohio State
7- LSU
8- Stanford
9- Nebraska (not really high on them, but they did beat OK State)
10- Michigan State (or Okie State, take your pick)

The Jagger69 top 10:

1) Oregon (So what if it was close? They still won)
2) TCU (See Oregon. SDSU never had a chance if you actually watched the game)
3) Auburn (If they beat 'Bama, I might leap"frog" them. Cam Newton is a beast)
4) BSU (Yawn again!)
5) Wisconsin (Way underrated, they are peaking at the right time. Best in the Big 10)
6) LSU (Too bad Auburn is in their division)
7) Nebraska (A shaky #7 for now. Enjoy it while it lasts)
8) Stanford (Best in the Pac 10)
9) Oklahoma State (All they do is win...except once)
10) Alabama (No NC hopes so Auburn is their bowl game)

Wow, Jagger. I can almost agree with you. Allow me to make a slight correction:

1) Oregon
2) TCU
3) Auburn
4) BSU
5) Wisconsin
6) LSU
7) Michigan State (I still think this is a very talented team)
8) Nebraska
9) Stanford
10) Oklahoma State

The One and Only Big Daddy
Mississippi at Tennessee (Mississippi gets one step closer to a bowl game)
Indiana at Wisconsin (Wisconsin all the way )
Iowa at Northwestern (Iowa way to strong)
Michigan at Purdue (One sided track meet Michigan)
Minnesota at Illinois (This team just gave Ron one more year)
Vanderbilt at Kentucky ( If Kentucky doesn't win I will run naked down Beale Street Kentucky)
Miami (FL) at Georgia Tech (This is my pick'em game with Nesbitt the Canes will win this one)
Kansas St. at Missouri (Eye of the Tiger)
Iowa St. at Colorado (The coach changed in Colorado not the players Iowa State)
Utah at Notre Dame (Notre Dame won't make .500 this year Utah)
Georgia at Auburn (Close game until it starts)
Penn St. at Ohio St. (Ohio State wins easy)
Virginia Tech at North Carolina (Tech keeps winning major props to a UNC team playing back-ups)
Texas Tech at Oklahoma (Oklahoma goes off after last week's loss)
San Diego St. at TCU (Nothing special here TCU)
Washington St. at Oregon St. (Oregon State walks away with this one)
Texas A&M at Baylor (Baylor gets tested but shows metal and wins)
Kansas at Nebraska (Another 300 yard game for Jr.)
South Carolina at Florida (South Carolina just lost the SEC East)
Mississippi St. at Alabama (My heart goes with State but my mind knows better Alabama)
Oregon at California ( Cal stays close because this is a home game and then they play the second half)
Stanford at Arizona St. (A well balanced Stanford attack kills ASU)
USC at Arizona( Another mind over heart game Arizona)
Oklahoma St. at Texas (All those years of defeats Oklahoma State wins by 21)
Clemson at Florida St. (A must win for my 'Noles and we take this and the division)
Another great weekend of college football.Goodnight

Another 15-9 week could have been worse thanks for nothing Utah.

thanks for nothing Utah.

In '07 we took a (team that will remain nameless as I can't bear to type it) lightly..ended up blowing the game in a devastating loss...a week later we were blown up by Oregon at home.

Moral of the story....don't let one team beat you 2 weeks in a row and let one bad loss turn into two. BUT it almost always happens.

The only way I would have taken Utah this past Sat. after losing that way to TCU is if they were playing little sisters of the blind.:2 cents:

The BCS rankings are troubling this week. Utah still ranked, Ohio St. in the top 10, Michigan state at 12, Auburn ahead of TCU...what a fucking mess.

BCS standings:

It's pretty obvious that this will now play out one way or the other (barring some monstrous upset)....it'll either be Oregon/Auburn or Oregon/TCU. I'd be good with either pairing. No offense to BSU but their schedule and conference is a fatal flaw for them the way this INSANE BCS nonsense is set up. I'm no Boise fan but if I was I'd be pissed as hell.

Think Nick Saban would like nothing better than to knock Auburn out of the picture? :1orglaugh

Add all that to the very good possibility that Auburn could be forced to vacate their wins this year and it become even more of a mess, especially if they are named national champions.

I'm pretty sure Boise State will finish ahead of TCU if they win out. Their SOS will get a huge boost the next two weeks against Fresno State (6-3) and Nevada (8-1), while TCU plays New Mexico (1-9). That'll drastically help their computer ratings. Boise State is already ahead in the 2 human polls that matter (for some reason), so as long as their computer ranking is in the ballpark of TCU, they'll jump them.

Wait, what now? What are you talking about? I'm sure I"m being dense, but please, enlighten me...

Bodie Top 10

1) Oregon
2) Boise State
3) TCU
4) Auburn
5) Ohio State
6) Stanford
7) Wisconsin
8) Nebraska
9) Alabama
10) Texas A&M

:surprise:
Wow, bodie, I'm surprised! No LSU in the top 10? Ohio State #5? How do you justify it?

Meh, not an LSU fan. They're a solid team but not top 10 material to me. Fluke win over Tennesse at home. Struggled to beat a sub par Florida team. How in the heck they only play four true road games in an entire season I don't understand :dunno:

We'll see about Ohio State this week. I still think they're the best team in the Big 10 despite the loss in Madison.

Yeah, The Big 10 is kind of a mess. I know they will send someone to a bowl, whether they really belong in it or not, and that will likely be Ohio State. This is, in my opinion, why they keep losing bowl games.

I'm no fan either but you have to give them major props for taking out Alabama. Also, Texas A & M at 10??

But, hey, it's your poll so have at it. :glugglug:
