There it is guys another end to a great college football season with Alabama winning the National Champion 37-21 over Texas.Lets keep the party going into 2010 any complaints did the season end the way you want.As for me no it did not Flordia State had a huge changing of the guard and we will see how it has paid off come Sept.I know for most of us it has been bittersweet so lets head into recuiting and the NFL Draft.Bragging rights start now

In year's past...ESPN is usually pretty quick to come out with preseason Top 5 and Preseason Heisman Hopeful list. I don't think there is a worthy person to even speak the word Heisman in the same breath, at this point, so I'm forgetting that. But here goes...

2010-2011--Preseason Top 5

1. Bama (to be the man, you gotta beat the man even if it's a tarnished man:thefinger)
2. Boise State
3. Ohio State
4. Oregon
5. The U

I can't put SC, Texas, Okie or Florida in the Top 5 due to major question marks....

Are you kidding? If tonight showed anything it's the dominance of 'Bama's defense. They were rock solid. Boise St, while a great team, couldn't compete for a minute with that D. And Ingram would run willy nilly over the Broncos.

If that game happened, I'd pick 'Bama 47, BSU 3.

The same Bama D that let a freshman QB in his first game almost steal an easy win from them.

He made an effort, but it was never as close as the score hinted at. I enjoyed watching Texas fight back, but the truth is, 'Bama was never at risk of losing. Their D was just too tight. And don't give Gilbert all the credit, either. He was throwing to Texas receivers and tight ends; the same offensive unit that made their team #2 in the country. Just because the QB gets knocked out doesn't mean that the entire team does. Texas stood tall, but 'Bama and their aweomse D stood taller.

Great fuckin' game any way. Loved it.

Yeah I agree. They're definitely the team to beat. But you're also right that McElroy took two big steps backward last night, and will need to improve to keep 'Bama on top.
