there you go watts,volts,amps aka VIR to learn the fuse rating divide the watts by the volts V volts I amps R watts so i have a kettle rated at 2.4kW whats its fuse rating(amp) 2400watts divided by 240volts =10amps(uk eg)easy as that!

Amp is the rating ie fuse eg plug top,mcb(circuit breaker)we use 6amp mcb for lighting,32amp mcb for ring main(sockets)the higher the ampage 60A,100A thats some serious power,remember its not the voltage that ***** its the ampage,ventricular fibulation

yes we use 240v ac on domestic 415v industrial i think the US uses 110v??
