Yes, I am familiar with the Bloodsworth case. He was lucky enough to be saved by DNA. However, aside from DNA, there are plenty of holes in the existing judicial system for others to pass through all the way to execution due to faulty investigative work.
The case of Cameron Todd Willingham is just one example of a system so deeply flawed and inequitably applied that it boggles the mind. How this can be happening in the "land of liberty" is a disgrace that goes largely ignored by the public at large. Puzzling how this could be the case in such a sophisticated society and is the reason for my involvement in the Innocence Project and the Texas Moratorium Network to end capital punishment in the USA once and for all.
