I just bought my first one last month. I'm on my second season with Celtic.
Last season I won the lague and the Scottish cup, I got through two qualifiers to get into the champions league this season, and they handed me Barcelona, Roma and Wender Bremen. I secured European football after christmas but I have to beat Barca in the nou camp to guarantee I get into the last 16 of the Champions league. If I lose and Wender Bremen beat Roma then I'll be in the last 32 of the Europa league.

It seems really difficult though, in the first season, I kept having to quit to stop dropping loads of points and getting knocked out of cups
I still don't know if that's a good thing. I could maybe get into the last 8 of the Europa league, but the last 16 of the champions league is where you want to be

I need to get back to Fifa, since I recently discovered football manager.

In the Fifa's before 2006, you were able to choose all the atributes yourself. I just put them all at 99 and my pro was invincible
I always choose strikers. I always make my pro have a #7 on their back
I can only ever get the finishing really high, mine is probably about 94. I maybe score 1 freekick in each version of Fifa, it always flies way over the bar if I hit it too hard or into the wall when I hit it too light

Yeah, in Fifa 11 he was only rated around 78. This year though he is rated 84 or so and is a better finisher than Messi and Van Persie.
I can't get his rating above that though.
