Marriage isn't as attractive as it once was

Don't marry till you are 30. Before 30, men and women should stay far away from each other. Titty fun only.

There is absolutely no reason to get married if you're a man, unless you like the idea of ******** with half your money and possessions. This analogy sums up my views perfectly; nowadays 50% of marriages end in divorce. Would you invest your money in a company that had a 50% of going bankrupt?

You can forgo a marriage license.

Make one up yourself and have a lawyer and your wife sign the papers.

You won't owe her anything.

The fifty percent statistic is a lie.

I know a lot of people who would like to get married but are denied the right to do so : Gays

i don't really know the law in other countries but in germany you can only lose money and stuff that you got during your marriage, everything you save up or buy before is yours and yours only

Prenups should be standard for all marriages, but if you're going to get one why not just forego marriage entirely?

This^^^

Although in the People's Republic of California (and maybe some other socialist or communist locales), palimony is often awarded. Ambulance chaser extraordinaire, Marvin Mitchelson, has his statue in the Gold Digger's Hall of Fame.

No one is denied the right to do anything.

No one needs a marriage license to get married.

Why sign anything to protect yourself ever then?

So the proof you provide is from a ".com" website, whose sole purpose to make money rather than provide facts? I also like how that article didn't provide any of the research it did to come with the 73% number. Here's some free adivice: if you're gonna use a website to try to prove your point, make sure it's either ".org" or ".gov" as those sites will be more reputable with their research (there's a reason why I used "divorestatistics.org"). And if you're going to use a ".com" site, make sure they state where and how they did their research.

Why sign anything to protect yourself ever then?

I like how you either just totally blew over or my point or my point just totally blew over your head, so I'll explain this so you can understand. If you're going to sign a prenup, a document that prevents (or in some cases guarantees) your property from getting split up, then what exactly is the POINT OF GETTING MARRIED?

Go ahead, I'll wait...

I'm shocked and envious that anyone can afford 1 (non-ghetto) house in that city, let alone two.

The 90024 was originally bought in 1966 by my parents and the 90036 was bought by my grandparents in the 1940s. Didn't cost much at the time but really appreciated over time. I sure appreciate it. Westwood is a really nice neighborhood to live in.

I couldn't find the ghetto with a Thomas Guide and Rodney King's urn riding shotgun.
