A so called Christian post in a porn forum reminds me of an incident early in my career. There was a huge to-do over the city council considering allowing a strip joint, gentleman's club, whatever to open in town. Well, the club opened, and Christians from all over the county converged in the parking lot of the bar to take pictures of all the men entering, and generally be a nuisance. And it was in the midst of this that a local preacher wrote a letter to the editor of the paper, saying in essence, a lot of Christians nowadays ask the question, "What would Jesus do?" And he challenged the people protesting in that parking lot to ask themselves if Jesus were here, would he be protesting and taking pictures outside the strip club or would he be inside, trying to minister to people who needed his guidance? It's easy to preach to the people who scream glory halleluiah, and I suppose that course has its rewards. But I myself think Christianity is too glorious an idea to be contained within the walls of a church. I believe it was Mark Twain who observed that Christianity would be a wonderful idea, of only more Christians would practice it.
Hence, I kinda admire someone who would dare to post the message of Christ in an online porn forum. Faith is more than reciting prayers and plopping your fat ass in the pew every Sunday. Faith moves mountains, and religion tends to stand in faith's way far too often.
Just a personal observation.
