Being a Christian

Many people have said that before they come to faith their lives was like swimming against tide.

But when they come to faith everything changed.

They feel as if the sun was shining even though it would be dark and life is like sitting in a roller coaster.

All things seem and feel more convenient.

Have you ever thought that your life needs to change?

Amen

Oh just stop it!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, stop being a hypocrite and preaching about christianity on a pornography forum.

I'm not preaching, Ill just tell you what I've heard.

Ps; this subforum is dedicated to religion and politics.

Pps; many of the porn people are Christians.

Ppps; Christianity is not threat to the porn.

Pppps; Jesus is your friend.

Have fun assari, I gotta go earn a living. I expect to see more mundane threads when I return.

Jesus owes me $50 and has yet to repay me, plus he's been spreading this Rumor around that my people ****** him. Jesus ain't no friend of mine.

Listen now boy.

Jesus is our Lord and he is not owe nothing to anyone and those who ****** him are allready in a place where the sun does not shine.

Their offspring are not to blame.

Jesus is only a friend if you keep your payments up.

Find your own salvation, reject the great conspiracy, happiness comes from within.

A so called Christian post in a porn forum reminds me of an incident early in my career. There was a huge to-do over the city council considering allowing a strip joint, gentleman's club, whatever to open in town. Well, the club opened, and Christians from all over the county converged in the parking lot of the bar to take pictures of all the men entering, and generally be a nuisance. And it was in the midst of this that a local preacher wrote a letter to the editor of the paper, saying in essence, a lot of Christians nowadays ask the question, "What would Jesus do?" And he challenged the people protesting in that parking lot to ask themselves if Jesus were here, would he be protesting and taking pictures outside the strip club or would he be inside, trying to minister to people who needed his guidance? It's easy to preach to the people who scream glory halleluiah, and I suppose that course has its rewards. But I myself think Christianity is too glorious an idea to be contained within the walls of a church. I believe it was Mark Twain who observed that Christianity would be a wonderful idea, of only more Christians would practice it.

Hence, I kinda admire someone who would dare to post the message of Christ in an online porn forum. Faith is more than reciting prayers and plopping your fat ass in the pew every Sunday. Faith moves mountains, and religion tends to stand in faith's way far too often.

Just a personal observation.

We have a lot of atheists here that get their panties in a wad that a "believer" would have the audacity to even mention Christianity in a favorable light on this board. They almost always respond with "get the hell off of a porn forum you hypocrite!" or something like that. I don't think a member of this board that peruses pornography on this or any forum has any business "preaching" to anyone about their religious beliefs because it is hypocritical. I do think that defending the rights of Christians to practice their faith or discussing what Christians believe or why they believe it is quite different. The scenario that you painted would entail someone trying to be the Billy Graham of porn forums taking their message to the reprobates. This person would have had to never viewed the content here which is impossible although they could be repulsed by it. Discussing the topic of religion and/or Christianity is one thing. Trying to convert people to their faith or convincing them that viewing or participating on a porn forum is sinful, would be entirely different and they have no business being here if that is their goal.

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
Jesus owes me $50 and has yet to repay me, plus he's been spreading this rumor around that my people ****** him. Jesus ain't no friend of mine.

Dude, if you're really a Jew, I need to ask you a serious question...if you're not...carry on fucking with assari.

Off topic. Anyone notice people coming back, now that a certain person isn't being a pain anymore? Just saying.

I missed you Jagger...and your common sense.
