Dinosaur Jr. Yey or Ney?

Are you a Jesus Lizard fan too meester? I always associate Dino Jr and them, and I don't know why. Both great bands, but not very similar styles.

I heard them back in the mid 90's a little, gotta check them out.

I can't believe Dino Jr slipped by me all these years, but I.m kind of glad........its like saving a bottle of **** for 20 years.

I do love 90's music though.
I liked 80's music a lot , new wave, some punk, a what they call classic rock today but was overall disappointed and bored with Rock in general by around 86 -87 and continued to be until late 91 when i heard nirvana for the first time.
After that so much great stuff came out for about the next 8 or 9 years........today there is still some good stuff but you just have to look a little harder.

Jesus Lizard fucking RULES. Check out Scratch Acid, which was the predecessor of The Jesus Lizard (David Yow and David Sims are in it).

We're starting to enter a Pulp Fiction Jules & Vincent kinda scene here .... is a foot rub more than a foot rub? Is it the even same game? ... damn, ******, it's not even the same sport ... kinda thing.

Dinosaur Jr

Angry Samoans

Nirvana

Meat Puppets

The Jesus Lizard

they grow on you over time.

plus theyve been around forever.

one thing that is really cool is that their newer stuff still zaps you right to the early 90s.

I am more of a Supergrass listener but Dinosaur Jr. is okay.

I find the band and the music mainly too hectic, they don't have the groove that I like.

Ney, I say :2 cents:

that's understandable
they do have a lot of less hectic songs plus one his other groups , J Mascis and the Fog isn't too hectic either for the most part.

This one ain't hectic, one of my favorites (after Jane's Addiction)

Wow , Lou's been in that band the whole time?
I Like that song too.

You know J seems like a pretty mellow guy,,,,,,,,,but whatever you do don't get him wound up, he's a crazy MF'er

hahaha

And for those who don't like Dinosaur, How can you not like this stuff? Are you mental?

his band sweet apple is pretty good, kind of like 70's rock

and Witch is just like pure hard rock, black sabbath style

he plays drums in both bands

and he just released a solo album on march 15th, mostly soft stuff but I like it
beautiful one here.
