You feel you deserve to know what our government is doing.
WE DO DESERVE TO KNOW WHAT OUR GOVERNMENT IS DOING. It's our government not the elected officials government.

Lets turn things around. My government (the Dutch government) tells us that we have nothing to worry about if we haven't done anything wrong. You're government says the same thing to you. If our governments (and governments around the world) haven't done anything wrong, why are they worried?
There needs to be transparency as I simply don't trust modern western governments. There are too many corrupt politicians who simply enter politics to further their own careers and line their own pockets rather than to humbly serve the people. The recent expenses scandal (also a leak) in the UK has shown just how many politicians were ripping off money from the taxpaying public and many have now lost their jobs and had to pay the money back :thefinger You only need to listen to what most politicians say, they either avoid directly answering a question, bitch about their opponents or massively contradict themselves on what they may have previously said. I simply don't trust them to be moral or ethical anymore so a certain amount of transparency is a necessity, unfortunate but that's the corrupt world we live in. :2 cents:
Assage's quote rests on one shaky premise though. That the contents of the ****** documents are themselves 'true'.
many, many of them are diplomatic and intelligence assessments, opinions, analyses, feedback etc and, as such, are merely the perspectives of the respective authors and not necessarily facts...
...It doesn't help that Assange is a pompous, emotionally shaky ass clown.
ass clown.
