Rant on Language

Ok this has been bugging me: I know the rules states about using foul language like shit, cocksucker, fuck, and motherfucker. Personally I don't see anything wrong with using those words. Now to cut a long story short, calling a person on here any of those names sould not be tolerated. Scorpion, whom I miss does have a mouth on him I think we all can agree with. But why make an example out of him alone? Yes he did insult and put down a lot of people and their posts and ideas, but in a way we all do that if we don't like what the other people say. So if that's the case, shouldn't more people be banned for insulting or not agreeing? Yes I know Freeones gave Scorpion a 2nd chance, but I don't know what really happened for him to be banned again. From what I gathered it had something to do with "foul language". Now if the foul language means using swear words, then we all should be banned because I for one use them all the time and don't plan on changing any time soon. But if it refers to insulting people, I'm sure some here have earned the right to be banned. I for one don't do that because I'm not like that. But I guess since Scorpion isn't afraid to speak his mind, he had to get punished for it right?

i miss scorpion too. i think that we have the right to express ourselves with our own words. i think that when we speak of freedom of speech we must speak with our own words and our feelings .If hiding our feelings and using indirect language is the solution then we can't speak of freedom of speech and indirectly we haven't got the right to express our mind.

When i not agree on something i say it frankly and straightforwardly nothing more. Frankness and staightforwardness are essential for a good understanding and a good communication it avoids also conflicts. Indirect language equals hypocrisy and is bad minded that is what i think.

Actually that is a good point. Where is the freedom of speech? I mean Scorpion opiniated alot, but the fact is he was just messin around like we all do. And thats what cracked me up about him. It sure has been a long time since he has posted. Crap man.

This has got nothing to do with freedom of speech or foul language. I believe only few members have a problem with that.
Go and check his latest posts. He called briwink2583 a motherfucker for not thanking him, cause he found a name, the guy was asking for. He insulted a member, and he was on probation. I mean, thats like begging to be banned, isn´t it? Nobody will be banned for obscene language, I´m sure. It´s a pornboard, right?

when someone makes effort to help another person, the person who asks for the name of the babe or whatever the service is, she /he should be thankful towards the persons who helped him/her.I always thank people for links, pics or whatever they post because they invest their time and their energy to share their pics and links.I have received an anglo saxon education.I never slagged any member since i registered here.

i think that sometimes due to uncontrolled anger people overreact. I have been insulted by a 15 years old just because i told him not to smoke under my nose.I always ask politely the person "please could you stop....." and if someone who i have helped once and has forgotten to thank me then next time i asked him/her "didn't you forget something? I helped you and you didn't thank me so you have nothing to ask me anymore exception made if you make your apologies for having not thank me before.Plain and simple."

to be fair to briwink he thanked me by pm for the names i gave him for 2 of his threads. i dunno if he did this before or after it was mentioned on the board but he has thanked me.

For me and from my personal point view, you hardly forget a person that has 1560 posts and has marked this board so deep. You can agree or disagree with me that is your own right. I am definitely not a whiner, i am just speaking my mind honestely and frankly.

You can´t bring the "oh, but it´s freedom of speech" argument as an excuse for everything. There are such things as manners and certain forms of how people are communicating. And if the only form to express that you don´t agree with somebody else is an uncontrolled flow of insults, then we might as well stop talking at all. At any rate, save us from this ridiculous "freedom of speech" pseudo-argument.
I´ll give you an example. Imagine somebody said:
"KZ´s and the holocaust are a myth! No jews were killed by the Nazis in WW." Does this fall under your precious "freedom of speech"? Do people who´re babbling BS like this just express their POV? I know it´s a drastic example, but the point is clear I hope. Insults are not the way to communicate with other people and I, for myself, am tired of reading the same junk over and over because it´s the internet and because everybody is acting so cool on the net.
As for Scorpion: I´ve already said that I never had problems with him. But apparently somebody else had. Freeones is making the rules here and you can either agree or disagree. Scorp´s been given a second chance and messed it up, so nobody can complain about his banning (as he said: he won´t complain either).

And I never look at number of posts. I mean, what does it matter if he had 1560 posts, if half of those posts were insults against someone?

i think in all honesty that is due to the context of where the guy lives.Most people of the southern states of the us are more direct, straightforward and sometimes more brute than people from the northern states. I have been several times in the us for observing this.Maybe i am mistaking but this is what i remembered after being in several southern us states.

OK lets clear this crap up coz im bored of it. Swearing on the board is fine. Say what you want however dont say it AT someone as flaming is no longer tolerated on this board. As it has been said if someone called you a motherfucker on the street you wouldnt tolerate it and you would beat whoever called you it. Its the same on here. Granted you cant beat someone over the net (although im sure it will only be a matter of time) but the same respect should be shown and insulting someone will not be tolerated.

Anyway i hope everyone is able to understand. And as i have said i am sick of this crap and im going to close this thread later this evening so get all this crap bout Scorpion, free speech etc off your chest coz i dont want to see it on here anymore. Leave the past where it is meant to be.
