here is not an abstract political thread. it is a poll. I am interested in results at that particular board, want to know what will be the % difference at the end. As for such heated debates - they can appear in every topic...
My answer?
The EU is just an organization. A man made organization. Is not anointed from God. Like NATO or the UN or the old Warsaw Pact or an Elvis Presley fan club; it's just a club.
And if the club members (through a referendum hopefully) want someone else in that wants in - they should come in. And if they don't, they shouldn't.
But again. Until they at least take responsibility for what they did to the Armenians way back when, I would not want them in any 'club' I belonged to.
And I care not how long ago they did it or what other countries do that is bad. That changes nothing for the people that they ****** (or ****** march to death).

None of them is an EU member. Let's have a close cooperation with Turkey on an economic and immigration basis - just like the deal we just closed with Central Asia's nations Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan et al.

You simply cannot compare the two issues. European racism against Muslims and Jews is a phenomenon that is not eradicable - estimates say that about 20 % of Europeans follow this supremacist ****.

If Serbia and Albania will ascend to EU memebership in the next 20 years, Turkey will follow. But I doubt it will happen... You don't live here currently, but we already have our hands full soothing the Poles and subsidising the Romanians. The EU has already overstepped its administrative boundaries. Before there is no workable plan for a constitution, we won't see any poor countries joining soon. (Norway and Switzerland are ALWAYS welcome).

I am going to disagree with you there. It is not just an abbreviation from the word 'National'. That would mean every time someone uses the word 'national', they could substitute '****' for it.
**** is short for National Socialist German Workers' Party (In German: Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei or NSDAP). That is why the word '****' is capitalized (I assume).
If you were a member of that party you were often called a '****'.
I believe the 'z' in **** came from the 'S' in 'Socialist'.

Europe has to be Europe even if it is fucking brothel of 27 countries that are not really united. It looks likemore the U.S.S.R in worst aspect than something else. Israel doesn't care much of Europe because Europe has and had more a pro arab foreign policy than the U.S.A. Israel cares much more about USA who has been its unconditional ally since the 60's. I have seen how well "integrated" are Turks in Germany when I was in Germany 7 years ago. Many of them very difficultly adapt themselves to the local customs, rules and habits. Capacity of social adaptation and integration is a criteria on which I judge people.
